NSU’s Intramural Basketball Championships were held on Monday April 30, in the main arena. The season started with 40 teams between men’s, women’s, and co-recreational. After a five-week regular season and a week of playoffs, it came down to eight teams on the final night.
This is the first time in NSU’s intramural sports history that we have had a women’s basketball league, and the Retired Athletes were victorious over Can’t Palpate This with a score of 43 to 35. In the co-recreational league, Retired Athletes were victorious over Can’t Palpate Deez with a score of 57 to 21. In the men’s recreational championship, which came down to the last seconds Ballin on a Budget beat Macular D-Generation X with a score of 41 to 40. In the final game of the night in the men’s competitive division, Flight Club came out on top of 4 O’Clock Rock with a score of 40 to 42.
