NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center will be conducting the following seminars designed to provide prospective law students information and advice on preparing the J.D. application for admission and financing law study. These seminars will be conducted by William D. Perez, NSU Law’s Assistant Dean for Admissions. Advanced registration is required and enrollment is limited. Each seminar lasts about one hour and will be held at NSU Law Center. Your registration will be confirmed with details about seminar location and parking.

Your job as an applicant is to get the admissions committee to say “yes.” How do you do that? Dean Perez will review the various components of a J.D. admission application, discuss their role, and provide insight into how to achieve a well-prepared application. Some common pitfalls will be identified. Dean Perez will also answer general and specific questions. Financing Law Study

The cost of attending law school can be expensive. But there is also a great deal of misinformation about the cost of law study and how to finance it. We know that many prospective law students are easily overwhelmed by numbers, percentages, and interest rates. There are steps you can take to reduce your costs, find scholarship dollars from non-school sources, and make yourself eligible for the broadest range of financial aid. Dean Perez will address these topics in simple English and answer general and specific questions. This seminar is designed for those who have already received an offer of admission, those in the midst of the application process, and those who have yet to apply.
