Hurricane Update

NSU is actively monitoring Hurricane Ian, which is predicted to have potentially dangerous impacts on Florida’s west coast through the middle of this week; much of the west coast of Florida is now under a Hurricane Watch. Now is the time to finalize your personal preparedness plan, particularly those near NSU’s Fort Myers, Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Jacksonville campuses.

NSU’s Tampa Bay and Fort Myers campuses will close building operations at the conclusion of classes being held today, Mon., Sept. 26, 2022, through Sun. Oct. 2. All other NSU campuses remain open with normal operations at this time.

Additional details about online/remote learning will be communicated directly to students from their college/program later today, Mon. Sept. 26. Normal class schedules and building operations are expected to resume on Mon., Oct. 3. Should circumstances prevent the re-opening of the campuses for normal operations, we will communicate instructions on how to resume classes and work remotely.

All previously scheduled events on the Tampa Bay and Fort Myers campuses will be rescheduled.

Please monitor your email and nova.edu/hurricane for additional updates. Any information about campus closures will be sent by email and posted to NSU’s Hurricane Resource web page.
