Hispanic Heritage Month – Genealogy Event (Sept. 29)

Roots, Branches, and Trees: Hispanic Genealogy.

Dr. Jim Doan, from the Department of Humanities and Politics, and Dr. Emily Schmitt Lavin, from the Department of Biological Sciences will be speaking about broad genealogical strategies and practices, along with NSU alumna Kathy Yanes Perez, who will share her experiences with her own Mestizo family research. We will also welcome Genie Milgrom, whose research focuses on Crypto-Judaism, and the discoveries of Jewish heritage among those with Spanish lineage.
