Just in time for Halloween, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will present a concert of classic soul-pleasing songs. Halloween with the Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble will take place on Oct.30, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center, room 309.
This Studio Series event will include performances by the student ensemble, conducted by Mark Cavanaugh, Ph.D., associate professor in the college. Among anticipated numbers are selections from the movies Ghostbusters, Psycho, and Young Frankenstein, as well as Michael Jackson’s classic song, “Thriller.” The NSU Sharkestra Pep Band will also perform at the concert.
Halloween with the Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble is free and all are welcome to attend. Tickets are not required for admission, but seating is limited. For more information, contact Bill Adams, D.M.A., associate professor and coordinator of performing arts in the college, at (954) 262-8025.
Each year, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts presents outstanding theatrical, musical, and dance productions. These performances serve as co-curricular opportunities for students to gain practical experience, and provide the NSU community with a local resource for educational and entertaining presentations.
