The NSU community is invited to view artwork created by faculty members in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences. A Delicate Balance: Fourth Annual Faculty Exhibition, part of the college’s Exhibition Series, will be on display Jan. 27–Mar. 2, in Gallery 217 of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.
This year’s exhibition will include video installations, altered-book art, sculptures, and paintings. Each work draws upon the college’s 2011–2012 academic theme, “Truth and Power.”
Opening Reception:
Friday, Jan. 27 | 5:30–7:30 p.m. | Gallery 217
The opening reception event will feature Glory, an improvised-dance performance by Elana Lanczi, M.F.A., assistant professor in the college. Using the human form as moving sculpture, Glory explores space, human fragility, and the concept of idols. All are welcome to attend the reception. Light refreshments will be served.
