Dana Jacobson is the co-host of the ESPN2 morning program ESPN First Take (formerly Cold Pizza), where she shares hosting duties for the show’s 1st and 10 debate segments.  Dana joined the show in March of 2005 after spending just over two years at ESPN as a SportsCenter anchor and radio fill-in host on both Mike and Mike In The Morning and The Dan Patrick Show. In 2006, Jacobson had the opportunity to serve as the host for XCenter during the Summer X Games. She then served the same role during the Winter X Games and has been hosting both seasons ever since.

Prior to joining ESPN, she spent several years as a sports reporter, anchor, and producer for KXTV-News10 (ABC affiliate) in Sacramento, Calif. She was also a radio host for NBA Insiders, a weekly two-hour radio show for the Sacramento Kings flagship station KHTK-AM. She landed her first on-air television job in Traverse City, Mich., at WPBN/WTOM-TV (NBC affiliate), where she spent two years as an anchor and reporter and eventually specializing in sports anchoring/reporting.

She has always believed that her most important job is to tell viewers a story with pictures and words. She is a passionate sports fan who isn’t afraid to go toe to toe with the guys at work or on the playing field, but still manages to keep the girl within visible at all times. Just check out her shoes!

From skydiving with the Army’s Golden Knights to trampolining with members of Cirque du Soleil, she never turns down a challenge. One of her latest endeavors: writing for ESPN.com in the summer of 2010. A Midwest ballpark excursion turned into a chance to take readers on the road with her for the ultimate fan experience, a baseball road trip.

Jacobson is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor of arts in English and communications.
