The NSU community is invited to attend an eclectic music production showcasing multiple woodwinds and performed by faculty members from the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts.
Faculty Recital
Wednesday, March 18
7:30 p.m.
Black Box Theatre | Don Taft University Center
Phil Bracken-Tripp, M.M., an adjunct professor at the college, is presenting the program, which opens with a sonata for alto recorder and traces the development of woodwind instruments as we know them today. The concert will include the Poulenc Flute Sonata, works by von Weber and Debussy, and Divertissements by composer Sy Brandon—a work specifically written for a woodwind doubler. Joining Bracken-Tripp will be NSU adjunct faculty members Celso Cano, M.M., playing guitar, and Justin Landers, M.M., on the piano.
Part of the college’s Faculty Performance Series, the Faculty Recital is free to attend, and tickets are not required. For more information, contact Bill Adams, D.M.A., associate professor and coordinator of performing arts at the college, at (954) 262-8025.
