Dance Awareness Day
This is a free event 10/27 offered by the NSU Dance program. Dance Awareness Day teachers include current dance majors, dance faculty members and special guests. This year we are honored to be joined by acclaimed Broadway dancer and Miami City Ballet faculty member Herman Payne. The Work-in- progress showing of “Alone/Together” will a allow attendees to observe an open rehearsal as a special preview for our upcoming DanceWorks event (Nov. 5-6, 2021). Dance Faculty member Petagay Letren will lead a West African dance class and many of our current dance students will share their own areas of expertise such as Pilates, Hip-Hop and Mexican Folk Dance just to name a few of our offerings.
Classes are open to all levels.
For movement classes, please wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
Masks are required.
