Sign up now for the annual “Dan Marino Foundation Walk About Autism,” a family fun day event with entertainment stations and attractions, benefiting children and adults with autism living in South Florida.
The Saturday, Jan. 28 event lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SunLife Stadium, and is being hosted by the University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) and the Dan Marino Foundation along with the Autism Societies of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
The “WalkAbout Autism” will raise funds for programs serving children and adults living with autism, and their families in South Florida. The event benefits local organizations that assist individuals with autism, including UM-NSU CARD. School Teams also get 25% of their funds raised back.

UM-NSU CARD is one of seven state-funded, university-based outreach and support centers in Florida dedicated to optimizing the potential of children and adults with autism, dual sensory impairment and related disabilities. UM-NSU CARD has been providing an array of FREE family support, outreach services, consultation and other services, to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families, and the professionals who serve them, for the past 18 years. Its constituency has grown from 88 families in 1993 to more than 6,100 families today.
