Congratulations to Undergraduate Economics and Finance Association (UEFA) for being November/December’s Registered Student Organization of the Month! UEFA’s mission is to educate students on financial literacy, develop their professional skills, and provide networking opportunities to jump-start their careers. The mission is fulfilled through hosting speaker events where guests come in and offer expert advice on important and relevant topics, offering services to fulfill professional needs (such as providing LinkedIn headshots or Excel workshops,) and putting together networking events and informing students of other networking events occurring on campus
Benefits of being involved in this organization
UEFA connects students to other like-minded students who are ambitious and determined to be successful in their careers. This organization supports its members to develop the best version of themselves in order to take on the professional world. This includes getting help in creating a resume/LinkedIn, finding out where to order business cards, networking with recruiters in the area that are actively hiring, learning about the essentials of finance and economics that everyone should be informed about, and much, much, more.
Fun Facts
Almost half of UEFA active members are not majoring in anything related to business.
How can students get involved in the organization?
Students can get involved or receive more information by emailing the President, Sadia Khan at sk1320@mynsu.nova.edu in order to be added to their mailing list. They can visit Undergraduate Economics and Finance Association’s OrgSync page to find out more about their upcoming events.
