TRY SCUBA
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING:
An introduction to scuba diving
January 8 and January 15 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
The PADI Discover Scuba experience is a fun and exciting way to try scuba diving and to see what it is like to breathe underwater. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, but you do need to be in good physical health. This is not a certification course. All equipment is provided. It is an introduction to scuba diving that is only one session long but includes a theory introduction as well as a skills introduction. If the student enjoys their experience and wants to work towards a certification, then they can enroll in one of the Open Water classes.

BEGINNER
OPEN WATER DIVER
Term 1: Begins January 11
Term 2: Begins March 2
The Open Water Diver class is the entry-level PADI scuba diving course. It runs for 6 weeks meeting twice per week: one knowledge development session per week in a classroom and one pool session per week for skill development. Following 6 weeks of training, the class will complete four dives in the open water. Successful completion of the course as well as the dives earns the student a PADI Open Water Diver certification. All equipment is provided.

CONTINUE YOUR DIVING
SCUBA REFRESHER
January 21 • 5:30 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
The Scuba Refresher is for the certified diver who wants to brush up on their knowledge as well as scuba skills after a period of inactivity. This course includes one classroom session to review theory as well as a pool session to refresh scuba skills. No certification is earned at the completion of the course and all equipment is provided.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
Term 1: Begins January 19; Tuesdays and Thursdays
From 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
Term 2: Begins March 1; Mondays and Wednesdays
From 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 PM
The Advanced Open Water Diver class is a course for certified divers who wish to improve their diving techniques as well be introduced to a variety of diving activities and environments. There is one knowledge development session per week in a classroom and one pool session per week for skill development. Divers enrolled in this course will participate in six dives throughout it and earn their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

RESCUE DIVER
Term 2: Begins March 29; Mondays and Wednesdays
From 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
Rescue Diver is an important step in furthering your diving knowledge and experience. This course is tailored for those who are interested in becoming future dive professionals.

ENRICHED AIR NITROX
January 20, February 17, March 24, and April 14
6:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Course is for any certified diver who wants to expand their dive knowledge and skillset to include diving recreationally with up to 40% EANx. Diving on EANx allows divers to increase their no decompression time. This course includes one classroom session that teaches the diver how to safely plan and conduct EANx dives. Upon completion of the course, the diver earns their PADI Enriched Air Nitrox certification which is a specialty certification. A dive is not required for this certification; however, one is offered.

DAN DIVING FIRST-AID FOR PROFESSIONALS
March 27 – 28
DFA Pro is comprised of information from the Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries, Neurological Assessment, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries, and CPR HCP courses. It meets the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This course is geared towards divers who are interested in becoming a dive professional in the future and pairs up well with the Rescue Diver course.

BECOME A DIVE PRO
DIVEMASTER
Begins January 11
Divemaster candidates will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to transition from a recreational diver to a dive professional. Instructor-level academic knowledge will be developed in diving physics, physiology, decompression, equipment, and environment. Pool training includes perfecting skills to a level of “demonstration quality” for open water skills rescue, navigation, and problem-solving. This is a semester-long course that successful completion of will earn you a PADI Divemaster certification as well as entering you into the professional dive world.
