On August 19, we celebrated the grand opening of Chick-fil-A at Nova Southeastern University with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Hanbury, our University President, Student Government President Daniyal, and Marc Croquet from Business Services gave speeches that set the stage for a successful day. The unit was open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and our celebration from noon to 3:00 p.m. featured a DJ, a photo booth, the Chick-fil-A Cow, Razor the Shark, and the Sharkettes engaging with students, faculty, and staff.
We went live on social media and reposted guest selfies to maintain online engagement. Throughout the event, we raffled off prizes every 15 minutes, including free Chick-fil-A for the semester, swag, and Grubhub discounts. Additionally, we distributed plenty of free swag, including the popular plush cows. To encourage repeat visits, we offered $5 off to guests who tagged us in selfies and provided everyone with a follow-up visit code valid next week. This blend of in-person engagement and digital interaction made for a successful event.
Chick-fil-A at NSU received over 1,500 orders on opening day! The first day of classes also saw great results across our other dining locations, making it a solid start to the semester. You can find the hours of operation listed on our website.
