The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences invites the NSU community to celebrate the launch of the 2011 issue of Digressions, the student-run literary magazine produced by the college’s Division of Humanities. The event will take place on Wed., April 6, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Alvin Sherman Library, second floor Gallery.
Digressions’ undergraduate contributors and staff will debut the issue by reading selections of poetry and short fiction from the magazine. Photographs and paintings from the issue will also be on display in the gallery, as will entries in this year’s cover contest.
Prizes will be awarded for the strongest submission in each category, including poetry, short fiction, and visual art. Following the readings, there will be a reception, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the Gallery. Refreshments will be served.
For more information on Digressions, please contact Suzanne Ferriss, Ph.D., professor in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, at (954) 262-8219. To view photos taken at last year’s magazine launch, visit the college’s Photo Gallery.
