The Department of Performing and Visual Arts in NSU’s College of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) will host a Dance Concert on at 7:30 p.m. November 6 and 7 in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center.
You are invited to experience an eclectic mix of dance performances choreographed by dance faculty and guest artists and performed by members of the NSU Dance Ensemble. This year’s concert will feature an original dance work by guest choreographers Carlota Pradera and Lazaro Godoy, who make up the Miami duo of GodoyPradera. Pradera originally hails from Spain and Godoy from Cuba; together they offer a unique blend of visceral dance-making. Their 2014 commissioned work Bare Bones received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. A new group work by NSU sophomore dance major Angelina Granitz and choreography from NSU dance faculty members: Elana Lanczi, M.F.A.; Augusto Soledade, M.F.A.; and Sabrina Talamo, M.F.A.
Tickets are $5 for NSU students, faculty and staff, $10 for community members. Tickets are available for purchase via the online Box Office or at the door on the day of the performance. For more information about tickets, please call 954-262-8179.
