Aimee Haynes, doctoral student in the Department of Conflict Resolution Studies (DCRS) in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) served on a panel on Workplace Bullying, “Sticks and Stones May Hurt My Bones, but Names Will Never Hurt Me Or Will They?” for several hundred attendees at Broward College. Haynes is a member of CAHSS’ Community Resolution Services (CRS) and represented CRS on the panel. Her presentation was prepared with the assistance of CRS members Nekeisha Bascombe, Rachel Lawrence and Esther Pierre. Haynes provided information regarding the causes, symptoms, preventative and restorative services for workplace bullying. She supplied tips for faculty, staff, and students in academia to better assess, inform, and systemically change organizational culture. Haynes provided resources, including material about NSU, CAHSS and CRS.
