Melissa Kweller, an M.B.A. student at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was awarded a $3,500 scholarship by the South Florida Interactive Marketing Assocation (SFIMA), at a pre-boarding press conference, on October 21. Kweller is the first recipient of SFIMA’s new Future Digital Leaders Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship was presented at SFIMA’s 8th Annual Nautical Networking Event, dubbed “White Hot on the Yacht.” At last year’s Nautical Networking event, SFIMA pledged $17,500 to provide a $3,500 scholarship each year for five years to a graduate student at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship who is undertaking the M.B.A. or M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program. The recipient would be a student pursuing a career in the digital marketing arena.
The event was presented by BGT and Adobe, and sponsored by ExactTarget. Guests attended Florida’s largest networking cruise for interactive marketers aboard the Biscayne Lady in Hollywood, FL.
