Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra to Present Night of Movie Music at NSU
In partnership with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra will open its 12th season with A Night at the Movies! on Nov. 12. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., in the Miniaci Performing Arts Center. There will also be a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m.
A Night at the Movies!, a Resident Series event, will feature selections of classical music from artists such as Beethoven, Bizet, Liszt, and Mozart. The orchestra will also perform music from a variety of films, such as Apollo 13, Dances with Wolves, and the Indiana Jones franchise.
Prior to the evening’s performance on Nov. 12, Ars Flores will offer Music for Munchkins, a free, 30-minute mini-concert geared toward children and their families. The event begins at 11:00 a.m., also in the Miniaci Performing Arts Center.

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences partners with Ars FloA res to further connect campus and community creative resources. NSU’s orchestra in residence is a unique professional orchestra with professional, conservatory, college, and gifted high school students performing side by side.
