James Sinkevich is the Last Shark Standing.
Sinkevich emerged as the first-place winner in NSU’s version of Last Comic Standing, where the students showcase their comedic talents. He received a giant check for $2,000, which breaks down to $1,000 for himself and another $1,000 for the NSU group of his choice.
Second place winner, Alex Weiss, received $500 for himself and $500 for the NSU group of his choice; and third place winner Jonathan Killias won $250 for himself and $250 for the NSU group of his choice.
The three were among many who competed in multiple auditions and three semifinal competitions, which culminated in the final competition at the Kevin Hart Comedy Show at the NSU Arena on Nov. 5.
