As part of Nova Southeastern University’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences will host Viva la Cultura Hispana: A Celebration of Hispanic Cultures. The event will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., in the Alvin Sherman Library, Second Floor Gallery.
Viva la Cultura Hispana will showcase and celebrate Latin-American art and literature. The event will feature presentations from Silvia Lizama, M.F.A., photographer and professor of photography at Barry University; Olga Connor, Ph.D., journalist at the el Nuevo Herald, author, and community activist; and Daniel Shoer Roth, award-winning journalist at the el Nuevo Herald. Students from NSU’s Spanish Club will also speak about Spanish language and culture.
