All student musicians are encouraged to audition for NSU’s Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble, which is supported by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts. Auditions will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center, room 309.
The Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble provides a challenging opportunity for talented musicians to further develop their abilities, deepen their appreciation of concert music, and hone their musical skills. Student musicians in the ensemble share their talents with each other, the university community, and the general public through semi-annual performances at NSU.
This fall, the ensemble will perform on Sunday, Oct. 30, when it presents Halloween with the Pro Musica Chamber Ensemble, a concert of classical Halloween selections.
Those students auditioning for the ensemble will perform a short musical selection and should also be prepared to perform scales. For more information and to reserve your preferred audition time, please contact Bill Adams, D.M.A., associate professor and coordinator of performing arts in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
