AUGUSTINE, Fla. – For the fourth time during the 2023-24 season, the top-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team placed top-three at an event, placing third at the World Golf Invitational and shot +31 as a team. Maia Samuelsson earned her first individual win at Nova Southeastern, finishing the tournament with 217 strokes (+1) and becomes the second Sharks Women’s Golfer to win an event this season, joining Ellen Andersson (South Region Preview & Saint Leo Invitational)

How it Happened
- In the second round, Maia Samuelsson recorded birdies on back-to-back holes, shooting an even par on the front-nine. Samuelsson added one more birdie in the round, totaling a 38 on the back-nine and finishing the round with a 74.
- Samuelsson’s final round went nearly bogey-free across the front-nine. The junior recorded a par on each of the first six holes, before birdieing seven, and parring eight. Samuelsson recorded a 37 on the back-nine, ending the tournament at +1 and earning her first win at NSU.
- Hannah Mitterberger finished the tournament inside the top-10 and placed sixth overall. Mitterberger shot par for the second round, totaling three birdies. In the final round, Mitterberger parred each of the first seven holes, but bogeyed four-of-fives holes around the turn. Mitterberger closed the tournament with a 76 in the final round and with 221 strokes (+5).
- Ellen Andersson (T34th), Jimena Marques (T40th) and Ellen Ramstedt (T44th) all placed within the top-50 in the tournament.
