Second year Law Center students Kendra Stephen and Rochelle Ramsay are the recipients of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association Scholarship. The students were presented the scholarship at the 20th Annual Awards & Scholarship Banquet. The event celebrates the achievements of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association and presents an opportunity to recognize members of the community who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others through community service and legal service, and to present scholarships to deserving law students.
At the event, adjunct professor Roshawn Banks, J.D. and alumnus Barry Butin, J.D., ‘84, received T.J. Reddick’s Pro Bono Service Award. Both attorneys have put in their time and legal expertise to ensure that low income individuals receive the best possible representation.
The T.J. Reddick Bar Association is a organization of attorneys dedicated to promoting the professional excellence of Black lawyers in Broward County, providing community service, creating a greater awareness and commitment to the civil and political rights of the local Black community and promoting the general welfare of all citizens in Broward County.
