Hurricane Ian: NSU Relief Efforts

Calling all Sharks!

As Southwest Florida begins the long road to overcoming the catastrophic impacts of Hurricane Ian the Fort Lauderdale NSU Community is encouraged to come together and support our fellow Sharks at the Fort Myers Campus. We are currently collecting:

  • non-perishable food items
  • male and female hygiene products
  • water, and paper products

Donated items will be shipped directly to those NSU students in need.

Look for these boxes around campus

Donation boxes are located around campus. Look for boxes at:

  • Don Taft UC, North and East Entrances
  • Goodwin Residence Hall
  • Mako Residence Hall
  • The Commons Residence Hall
  • Rolling Hills Apartments

Please also consider NSU Cares Fund

University has been receiving many of the requests due to loss of food and property damage, as well as emergency expenses due to evacuation and displacement. Several applicants have indicated that their vehicles and homes were completely flooded.

As the situation becomes more stable and our Ft. Myers and Tampa Bay/Clearwater community’s needs change, additional information will be circulated on how our Fort Lauderdale campus community can assist.
