The Department of Humanities and Politics, Phi Alpha Delta, NSU’s Book Club Wyrd, Nova International Relations Association (Model UN), and Mock Trial Team are pleased to present this semester’s final screening of NSU’s Annual Film Series: The Reel! The Reel offers NSU students, faculty, and other members of the university and local community curated film screenings on campus, free of charge, and open to the public!
This Wednesday, Dr. G. Nelson Bass III will lead discussion of The Trial of the Chicago 7, directed by Aaron Sorkin
March 9, Wednesday, 6:00 pm – 9:00pm, Mailman Hollywood Auditorium (second floor; take a right out of the elevators)
This historical drama follows the story of the “Chicago 7,” a group of anti-Vietnam War protestors who were charged with conspiracy and intent to incite a riot at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The film, released in 2020, has become a part of national discussions in recent years exploring the domains of activism and rights of protesters.
