At an award luncheon held on February 23, the Huizenga Business School honored and recognized more than 100 undergraduate business students who qualified for the fall 2010 Dean’s List. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 during the semester to meet the requirements for the Dean’s List. The luncheon provided Huizenga Business School faculty members, academic advisors, and other administrative staff members the opportunity to congratulate and recognize the students for their academic accomplishments.
Michael Fields, Ph.D., dean of the Huizenga Business School, addressed the students and encouraged them to continue to differentiate themselves in the classroom and eventually in their careers.
Professor Robert Preziosi, DPA, provided closing remarks for the students, recalling his star-gazing youth. “I recall looking at the sky and noticing Orion’s belt. Orion was a hunter, just as each of you are hunters. You will graduate from Nova and hunt the best jobs, hunt out your career path, and hunt the life you want to lead. You are also stars who provide energy, light for the path, and intense focus.”
