NSU Fort Myers Physician Assistant Class Steps up to the Challenge

The Nova Southeastern Southwest Florida (SWFL) Physician Assistant (PA) Class of 2012 takes 2nd place at the annual FAPA Challenge Bowl!  Competing against 30 teams, the 1st-year team of Justin “Wildman” West, Danielle “All-Business” Bakalar and Christopher “The Prez” Hatwell, sailed through the first two preliminary rounds to compete against two 2nd-year PA teams in the finals.  The FAPA Challenge Bowl is an annual knowledge competition open to all ten Florida PA programs.  Prizes consist purely of bragging rights and all three SWFL teams competed fiercely.  Cheered on energetically by over half of their classmates who also attended the conference, the final competition was neck-and-neck until the final two questions.

Overall, NSU SWFL PA school was thrilled with their results and is looking forward to the May AAPA Challenge Bowl being held in Las Vegas, NV.  Seeking a win nationally, the teams will study and practice in their spare time in addition to maintaining their current course load and program requirements.
