The Alvin Sherman Library will be holding its 4th Annual Seussfest on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 from 12-4pm. Children and families from throughout Broward County are invited to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and promote early literacy at this great event, which is funded through a generous donation from the Irwin and Barbara Mautner Foundation “Read for the Fun of It” initiative. This year’s Seussfest will feature a magic show, theatrical performances, storytelling, face-painting, and art projects with Young at Art. Best of all, every child receives a FREE book!
The library is looking for NSU Student volunteers to help out on the day of the event. Tasks may include setup and decorations, distribution of gift bags and other materials, assisting in the book giveaway tent, or anywhere else help is needed.
Save the date: Sunday, March 6th, 2016 from 12-4pm – and stay tuned for more information about how to volunteer or contact us at 954-262-5477.
