The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Lecture Series will conclude for the semester with a collaborative presentation by four faculty members in the college’s Division of Humanities. Their research project investigates the experiences of new, fulltime writing faculty members, with the aim of understanding the phenomenon of professional identity construction. After polling a representative population of colleagues during their first three years of employment, the faculty research yielded information about the tactics writing faculty members use to construct their professional identities through teaching, research, and service.
