#1 Sharks Tee off at Lynn Invite

 

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The top-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team tee’d off with the first two rounds of the Lynn Invite on Monday morning. The Sharks (+19/290/305) currently sit in eighth-place, with Jimena Marques (T9/+2/71/74), Maia Samuelsson (T25/+6/75/75) and Ellen Andersson (T25/+6/72/78) are inside the top-25.

How it Happened

  • In her first round, Jimena Marques parred 6-of-7 holes, adding a birdie, prior to the turn. On the back-nine, Marques added five more pars, and another pair of birdies, before closing out the round with three consecutive pars.
  • Marques began her second round with three straight pars, before bogeying back-to-back holes, and closed the front-nine with another two pars. Following the turn, Marques totaled six pars and one birdie, ending her second round in 74 strokes (+2) and inside the top-10.
  • Maia Samuelsson started the tournament with a birdie on her first hole, then following a bogey, parred four consecutive holes. On the back-nine, Samuelsson tallied five pars and four bogeys, before closing the round out with a birdie. Samuelsson ended her first round with a 75 (+3).
  • In her second round, Samuelsson accumulated 12 pars, two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey, closing the day with another 75 (+3) and tied for 25th.
  • Ellen Andersson totaled three birdies on the front-nine in her opening round and closed out the first round with five consecutive pars, shooting an even-par.
  • In her second round, Andersson parred each of her first two holes and followed with two consecutive birdies. Andersson later totaled six more pars, another birdie, three bogeys, a double and triple bogey, closing the afternoon out with a 78 (+6) and tied for 25th.
  • Ellen Ramstedt recorded pars on eight consecutive holes, and on 10-of-12, to open the tournament. Ramstedt added a pair of birdies in her first round, shooting a 73 (+1).
  • Ramstedt began her second round with a birdie, followed by a pair of pars. Following the turn, Ramstedt tallied pars on 6-of-7 holes and ended the round with a 78 (+6), finishing the day in a tie for 29th (+7).
  • Hannah Mitterberger tallied a pair of birdies across the first four holes and closed the front-nine with five consecutive pars. On the back-nine, Mitterberger bogeyed three holes and ended the round with a 74 (+2).
  • Mitterberger shot an 80 in her second round, ending Monday tied for 45th (+10).
