Let’s Talk About Wrecks: Understanding the Rhetorical Situation

Ana Ramos was involved in a serious car wreck. We know when/where the accident occurred, but very little else.What is the extent of the injuries? What caused the accident? Who was at fault? Work your way through four rhetorical situations (playing a police officer, an emergency room nurse, an insurance agent, and a prosecutor) as you learn how all writing is influenced by audience, context, and purpose.

strategies for building a successful resume including how to write using sophisticated language and details. Students in the workshop will also look at professional examples of resumes as well as begin brainstorming and writing your own resumes.
