It’s that time of the year again, August rolls around and it’s time to welcome incoming students. West Palm Beach SGA reserved the whole patio section of Yardhouse on August 24, 2011. This event was scheduled to start at 5pm and at exactly 5 o’clock students started arriving. In coming crowd slowly filled what was once an empty space. Pretty soon, Nova Southeastern students took up the whole venue. Excitement filled the air while everyone greeted each other whether it was their first time meeting or because they have not seen each other since summer began. Food was served, laughs were shared, and names were learned. Thus far, this year’s welcome back mixer has been the most successful; over 80 students and friends attended the event.
