Team NSU: No. 1 in fundraising for ‘Walk for Autism’

Team NSU at Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Saturday, April 9 was a banner day for Team NSU. Not only did we maintain our position as the largest team at the Autism Speaks Walk, with 154 registered walkers, but we were also No. 1 in fundraising, with $8,936 in donations as of April 11. It was a tight race, as Team Forrest was less than $40 behind us just one day before the walk.

Plus, we had fun!  Between the rock climbing wall, video game truck, live music, and free food, there was just as much entertainment to enjoy as there was actual walking to do. The Florida Panthers Ice Dancers were there, signing autographs, and Jen Herrera of Channel 10 hosted the event again this year.

Thank you very much to everyone who donated time and money to this event. To view the photos for this event, click the link below for the “Broward County Walk Now for Autism” Facebook page, and hit “Like.”
