On Saturday, September 15, 2018 a group students, SGA leaders, and staff from the NSU Tampa Bay Regional Campus volunteered at the Coastal Cleanup event at Cypress Point Park. The team helped remove 47.3 pounds of trash from the area that day, and the event aligned with the “Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful” campaign. This opportunity was made possible by the Tampa Sharks with a Purpose (SWAP) student organization and the Tampa Student Government Association (SGA).
