SHSS Faculty Presents on Donor Driven Transitional Justice and Peacebuilding at ISA Conference

Ismael Muvingi, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), recently presented at the 2015 International Studies Association (ISA) Conference held in New Orleans. The conference theme was “Global IR and Regional Worlds.” Muvingi’s presentation was titled: “Donor Driven Transitional Justice and Peacebuilding.” It was part of a panel on the topic: “The Ethical Challenges of Funding Peacebuilding: Donor Driven Peace?”

Muvingi is the faculty advisor to the African Working Group (AWG) at SHSS. His research and teaching interests include transitional justice, human rights, and Africa and the African Diaspora. He is the SHSS Center Representative to NSU’s Institutional Review Board.
