Debra Nixon, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) hosts a weekly radio show on NSU’s RadioX. The show, “On tha Real with Dr. d,” invites listeners to talk about the significant relationships in their lives and focuses on their issues and their perspectives and voices. Nixon’s perspective is that, “On tha Real, you know more than you think you know.” She takes a listener-centered approach rather than focusing primarily on her expertise as a family therapist.
