Should we bring Water Polo and Lacrosse to NSU?

Nova Southeastern University is exploring the viability of establishing recreational lacrosse and water polo programs on its main campus in Davie, Florida. We are focused on three types of programs:

  • INFORMAL: Participating at your own leisure when available.
  • INTRAMURAL: Participating weekly, as a competitive sport for approximately 5-6 weeks.
  • CLUB: Participating multiple times per week, in practice and in competition with other club teams throughout the year.

As part of our efforts on behalf of the university, the NSU Office of Campus Recreation kindly asks that you take a moment to complete a quick, 10-question online survey at:

https://opinio.nova.edu:443/opinio/s?s=2719

Please complete this survey by October 8.

Your thoughts and opinions are important. Sharing them with us will go a long way in helping us understand and meet the needs of our NSU students. Thank you, in advance, for making your voice heard and taking the time to participate.

  1. I think they should also add a football team. I did read an article about why they do not want a football team and how it would be the center of attention rather than basketball, but i also believe that it creates another sport not only for the school but for more students who would want to attend NSU for the programs offered. Also, in the article, was the idea of tailgating parties. I Believe that no matter what sport it may be, including basketball, there will be a party for it. Whether NSU knows about it or not, there will be one. Thank you for reading my comment, I still think it would be great to have a football team here, i would be the first to go and try out.
