About 50 students from Nova Southeastern University College of Allied Health and Nursing’s Physical Therapy Program showcased their research capstone projects on Aug. 9 with a poster presentation in front of the Health Profession Division’s Steele Auditorium. The doctor of physical therapy program seniors worked for over a year, under the supervision of faculty advisors, to conduct research projects that answer basic or clinical research questions. The capstone is a research project that requires students to apply knowledge learned in their research courses to an actual research project. Some of the projects will likely contribute to the body of knowledge in physical therapy, or be published or presented, which reflects well on the students, the profession, and of course, NSU. Morey Kolber, PT, PhD, OCS, CSCS, assistant professor of physical therapy, served as the student’s faculty adviser.
