NSU Law Student, Ritika Singh, CROWNED MISS GOLD COAST 2017

In a competition held on Saturday, February 18th  at the Dillard Performing Arts Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Davie resident, Ritika Singh, was crowned Miss Gold Coast 2017.

Ritika will now be among the talented young women representing South Florida in the Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant to be held in Lakeland June 27th – July 1st. As a  law student at Nova Southeastern University, she aspires to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer and intends to use her time as Miss Gold Coast to advocate for children’s education and literacy.

ABOUT MISS AMERICA
Founded in 1921, today The Miss America Organization is one of the world’s largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available millions in cash and scholarship assistance. This assistance is not just for the handful of young women who become Miss America, but is available to the over 12,000 young women who compete in the state and local competitions as well. Miss America provides leadership development and scholarship opportunities to young women 17-24 and the Miss America Outstanding Teen program is for girls age 13-17.

Scholarship for South Florida Inc. (a 501 c(3) charitable organization) is the presenting sponsor at both the Miss and Teen Divisions for Miss Broward County, Miss Greater Fort Lauderdale, and Miss Gold Coast, which are the only official Broward County preliminary events into the Miss America system.
