Nova Southeastern University’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS), a co-sponsor of the Nonprofit Technology Network’s Ft. Lauderdale-Miami 501 Tech Club, and the Cloud Security Alliance of South Florida (CSA) will be hosting a networking session on Wednesday, September 19th at 6:30 p.m., followed by the monthly CSA and 501 Tech Club meetings.
GSCIS Assistant Professor James Parrish, Ph.D. will be presenting at the CSA meeting on “Putting Students Head’s in the Cloud While Keeping their Feet on the Ground.” Cloud computing is becoming increasingly an important part of IT strategies for organizations. Dr. Parrish will be discussing GSCIS’s efforts to educate students in cloud computing. The 501 Tech Club will have Bryce Kerley as a speaker, who will introduce the audience to the building blocks of the web, and demonstrate a few ways to quickly build a presence online.
The networking session will be held on the fourth floor of the Carl DeSantis building on NSU’s main campus.
