NSU Baseball Set to Hold Open Tryouts for 2019 Season

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Head coach Greg Brown and the Nova Southeastern baseball program will be hosting an open tryout for the 2019 season on Monday, Oct. 1 at 4 p.m. at the NSU Baseball Complex.

Any student interested in participating must be currently enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Nova Southeastern and have completed a full physical from a licensed physician within the last six months prior to the tryout date.

If interested, please email all required documents to assistant coach Billy Alvino at walvino@nova.edu by Friday, Sept. 28. In addition, please include in the email your intention to attend and tryout position to allow the coaching staff time to prepare appropriate workouts.

Paperwork Required (click on the appropriate links below for available paperwork):
– Physical Form (provided by physician)
– NSU Prospective Tryout/Medical Form
– Sickle Cell Testing Form (must either be waived or completed prior to tryout)
– Copy of Insurance Card (both front and back – please scan digital copies)

All potential student-athletes will be asked to showcase their speed, arm, fielding and hitting abilities, while pitching and catching drills will be tested last. Participants are required to bring their own cleats and gloves to the tryout. Helmets, bats and catcher’s equipment will be available if needed.
