NSU Appoints New VP of Human Resources

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. — Robert J. (Bob) Pietrykowski, M.A., J.D., has been appointed vice president Human Resources at Nova Southeastern University. The announcement was made today by NSU President and Chief Executive Officer George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D.

“We are delighted to welcome someone with Mr. Pietrykowski’s broad skills in human resource management and employee relations,” said Hanbury.  “His experience in higher education and healthcare makes him well qualified to enhance the university’s human resource culture that is focused on the engagement and satisfaction of all NSU students, faculty and staff.”

In his new role as chief human resources officer for NSU, Pietrykowski will provide strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of quality-based, integrated human resources programs that positively contribute to employee productivity and a healthy work-life balance.  Programs delivered to more than 4,000 faculty and staff will be consistent with the University’s vision, mission and values in order to more fully engage students. Pietrowski will begin his new position on February 13, 2012.
Pietrykowski comes to NSU from Cleveland State University where he served as assistant vice president for Human Resources and Chief Negotiator.  His prior experience includes various positions in health care, human services and as a labor attorney for an Ohio based law firm.  Pietrykowski holds a J.D. in labor and employment law, an M.B.A. in human resources management, and an M.A. in diversity management, all from Cleveland State University.
