More than 600 undergraduate students from the Farquhar Colleges of Arts and Sciences earned the Dean’s List for the fall 2011 semester, an outstanding academic accomplishment. The college hosted a ceremony recognizing the students on Feb. 23. Students attending the ceremony were joined in celebration by college and university administration, faculty members, friends, and family members.

Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, opened the ceremony by congratulating the students. He also recognized the various faculty and family members whose support and mentorship aids students in their academic success.

To earn the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (12 or more credits) at NSU, earn at least a 3.5 GPA for the previous semester, and receive no incomplete grades.
After Rosenblum’s welcoming remarks, each student in attendance walked across the stage and received recognition for their achievement. Also on hand to congratulate the students was Frank DePiano, Ph.D., NSU provost and vice president for academic affairs. The Dean’s List students then joined faculty and family members for a reception.
