Time: Noon – 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 06:00 p.m. (Students are free to attend to either workshop at noon or at 5:00 p.m.)

November 12: Base Operations: Learn how to effectively use the library’s website, library guides, and Ask A Librarian.
November 13: Standing Orders: Learn how to ethically use and cite information in your research.
November 14: Research Reconnaissance: Learn how to search for books, e-books, and journal articles in NovaCat and the databases.

Nov 14 Research Reconnaissance: In this interactive workshop, students will gain a basic introduction to:

  • Keywords & Boolean Operators
  • NovaCat Catalog
  • Database Searching
  • Evaluating Information Sources
