NSU Launches “It’s on Us to Stop Sexual Assault” for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

600px---8.5x11-ItsOnUsApril is Sexual Awareness Month and there are a variety of activities starting on April 4th.

  • All week from April 4-April 8 you can come and sign the “It’s on Us to Stop Sexual Assault” pledge at the Don Taft University Center Spine from 12 – 1 p.m.
  • On Tuesday, April 5th NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) will host Diversity Dialogues. The topic is, “What you need to know about Title IX: A Discussion on Sexual Misconduct on College Campuses,” presented by Melissa Doreus. Doreus is the Graduate Assistant for Special Initiatives under Dr. Gay Holliday. Her work focuses on sexual misconduct education and prevention. Doreus is a master’s student in the College Student Affairs program in CAHSS.
  • On April 6th and 14th, the movie The Hunting Ground will be screened. It is a documentary that follows survivors of sexual assault as they pursue their education while fighting for justice. Both screening will be from 6-7:30 p.m. – April 6th at the Mailman Auditorium from and April 14th at the Knight Auditorium in the DeSantis Building.
