International Women’s Day Celebration to be held at NSU

International Women's Day Celebration

Founded in 1881, aauW supports women’s advancement through education, advocacy, research, and philanthropy. The Nova Southeastern University branch is open to NSU students, staff, faculty and administrators.  We offer travel awards to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders, Undergraduate Student Symposium awards and mentoring opportunities through our collaboration with the PACE Center for Girls and the Alvin Sherman Library. Our annual events include an International Women’s Day celebration, and programming such as film screenings and discussion forums. NSU-aauW is open to the surrounding community. All are welcome.

 Our next major event , the 8th Annual International Women’s Day Celebration, will be held on Monday, March 18 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.  The theme is “Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum”.  Our keynote speakers is Debbie Wasserman Schultz, congresswoman, 23rd Congressional District, Florida.  Information is attached.   All are welcome but seating for lunch is limited so  rsvp is required to IWD.nova.edu@gmx.us
