Students interested in obtaining an internship in the biology and/or medical fields this summer are encouraged to attend a special informative session on Monday, Oct. 31, titled “The Trick to the Treat of Doing a Summer 2012 Internship or Prosection Program.” The event will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m., in the Mailman-Hollywood Building, room 309.
Hosted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the session will focus on how and why to apply for summer internships in medicine and biology, such as the college’s Biology Student Internship Program and the annual international Human Cadaver Prosection Program. Internships take place in the United States and abroad, from Illinois to Austria.
Various faculty members who serve as advisers for these internships will be on hand to answer questions about the programs and provide more information. Students who have participated in these internships and others will also speak about their experiences.
