Dance Concert Features Faculty Choreography, Original Works

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will present the 2011 Dance Concert at NSU March 25–27. Part of the college’s Premier Series, the production features the NSU dance ensemble performing original choreography by faculty members and guest artists. The event will take place in the Performance Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.

This year’s production includes works choreographed by Katie Sopoci Drake, M.F.A., and Daniela Wancier, M.F.A., adjunct professors in the college, as well as Chetachi Egwu, Ph.D., and Elana Lanczi, M.F.A., assistant professors in the college. Guest artist Stacee Lanz will also present a quartet titled Be Free.

Sunday, March 27 | 2:00 p.m.

Each year, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts presents outstanding theatrical, musical, and dance productions. These performances serve as co-curricular opportunities for students to gain practical experience, and provide the NSU community with a local resource for educational and entertaining performing arts presentations.
