Congratulations to January RSO of the Month: Alpha Phi Omega!

Alpha Phi Omega

Congratulations to Alpha Phi Omega for being January’s Registered Student Organization of the Month! This organization has gone above and beyond the role of being a student organization on-campus and has made an impact on the NSU community. Alpha Phi Omega  promote cancer awareness across the NSU community with monthly events, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, participating in cancer related walks/runs, volunteering at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and Feeding South Florida.

Benefits of being involved in this organization

“The benefits of being involved in Alpha Phi Omega are amazing opportunities to provide service to a variety of organizations and causes. The ability to build friendships with other individuals who enjoy doing service both through service projects and through social events. We can connect students with individuals across the country and across the world through inter-chapter networking, attending conferences which brings the national organization together, and through the connections we have built across the world.

As a national organization, we provide various forms of leadership development training both in person at conventions and online through webinars at little to no cost to members. At the chapter level, we provide members the opportunity to hold executive officer and chair positions which help them develop organizational, project planning, and leadership skills. As a chapter we also hold strong importance of inclusion and fellowship among all our members; we provide a positive and inclusive atmosphere to everyone allowing the entire organization to truly be friends.”
