The judges scored the acts based on originality, creativity, crowd reaction, energy, dress, use of time and overall performance. Because of the quality of the talent this year, the top 6 acts were selected to perform in the final round the second day. The top 6 included Riff Tides (acapella singing group), Sharkettes (modern dance team) , World Crew (multi-cultural dance team), Signing Sharks (Song in Sign Language), Lambda Theta Phi (Piano, Song and Dance) and Urban Renaissance (Powerful singing).
